Gonna be hot there late July temps can be in the 90's everyday and at times the humidity is in the 90's as well, could make for some uncomfortable days in the summer.

Would love to see some nice shots of this. Take a lot of them for us.
I think the SD ANG guys did the So Cal Alert for a while out of March ARB. Have to check my t-shirt collection as I bought one when they were deployed here to So Cal.

Going to be there july 25th weather looks good clear and sunny high in the mid to upper 70's.
Looks like a good show. They had the QF-4G back in 2006!!!
The 2009 Sioux Falls Air Show went of well and was expertly flown by all of the performers. Jeff Randell and Lisa Hirsch wer the PA announcers. The National anthem was palyed at 11:00Am followed be skydivers brining in the Flag. Melisa Pemberton was the first flyer in her Edge 540 that is painted mostly blue on top and the bottom of the wings in a red and gold checker board. Manfred Radious was next in a aerobatic sailplane H101 Salto. Next was Michael Wiskus in a bright orange Pitts Special with Lucas Oil Sponsorship. The Rhode Island ANG was next doing a low level demo flying a C-130J Hercules aircraft. The South Dakota ANG did a brief demo of their F-16 Vipers. Then came Jim Pietz flying a 300HP Bonanza. Followed by the F-22 Raptor. The F-22 poton an impressive demo at one time looking like the aircraft was nearly stopped with only engine thrust keeeping the aircraft aloft. The F-22 was joined be a P-38 Lightening for the Heritage Flight.
Steve Falon flying a Pitts S1S, the Vanguard Squadron and Gunfighter II a P-51 flown by Doug Rosendall all performed just before 2PM. Shortly after 2PM the Marinestook of in Fat Albert, The Blue Angels C-130H for their own Demo and at 2:25 The Blue Angels in their F-18A Hornets flew for about an Hour.
The Blues, in a rehersal on friday July 24, had the #5 Lead Solo Aircraft come back and do a real arrested landing with some sort of a Hydraulic problem. I have a photo of the aircraft landing with some fluid spraying out of the Nose Landing Gear area. The photo taken by my cousin who was there and snap a pic on Friday, of some fluid( presumably Hydraulic Fluid) spraying out of the NLG area. I'll scan it and try to put it up when I get back. the maintainers worked the aircraft up till 12 noon on saturday but this particular aircraft sat parked on saturday. The Maintenance crews moved the real #4 to the #5 lead solo spot and moved the #7 aircraft into the #4 spot and then changed the numbers on the tails so that it appeared that all #1 thru#6 aircraft were flyingon Saturday
Cool, I'd love to see that shot. 8) Nate was having pretty good luck at Winter Training... I think it was Walleye's jet that kept breaking out there. <laughing>
