I'll be checking this one out & covering it for World Airshow News. So far all I know for sure is that the Blues will be there as well as the Wall of Fire, not to mention the Aggressor birds will be on display in some form or another.

My first time going up to a Fallon show as well. It's been awhile since they've had a show, hasn't it?

How hot is Fallon in early September? I'd imagine it's going to be 100 degrees or more.

What's the layout of the runways like? Will we be shooting away from the sun or into it?

Robert, I posed this question on ASB and somebody came back with a PDF file that shows the layout of the runways. Looks like the crowd will be facing northeast, which means we should NOT be looking into the sun at all!!   <cheers>

I plan to drive. Am going up the day beforehand. It's definitely not my favorite drive in the world - for some reason it seems to go on forever, lol. BUT there are always stops along the way - Owens River, Alabama Hills, various lakes near Mammoth & above, etc etc........and I found several awesome camping spots up near Reno, too.

Myself, I'll be driving up 395 and then dropping off my trailer somewhere and then heading over to Fallon.

Yeah, it's definitely a Long Drive.  From Torrance, it takes me about 9 hours to get to Carson City.

I managed to get on the media list, but I later found out there are going to be bleachers, which might work out better than a small media pit....... :)
