Camarillo Air Show 2009 <rocker>
8/22/09 & 8/23/09 - 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Camarillo, CA
http://www.camarilloairshow.com
I will be there both days ;D
A Sunday...works for me. Count me in for the 23rd. ;D
Well looks like I'll be there both days as well. I was originally planning on skipping this one again this year, but then I remembered Clay Lacy's Tigercat showed up last year, so I checked out the show's website (wingsovercamarillo.com), and after reading about TWO P-38s and the Grumman Cats scheduled to be present, (incl as Tigercat), I certainly can't pass this up!
Looks like we have quite a few members going this year <thumbup>
I hope my 100-400mm arrives in time for the show ::)
And I will be there Saturday.
Cool, I wish I was able to be there the 2 days... :'( <laughing>
Those APSC ID's would be cool for our gatherings at airports, airshows, etc... ;D
Booked hotel last night. Good to go <thumbup>
Are you going to be able to go Damon, Keith?
I am undecided on this one as Oct is a busy month for me, and wish they still had aerobatics too. Good for warbirds.
Yes, this 22nd and 23rd of this month. Damon must be PWD again! <rolf>

Not sure what October has to do with this show? It is in August?
<whip> looks like he is free ;D
I'm hoping to be there both days. Hopefully I'll be as lucky as last year with shots. :)
Weather looks like mostly cloudy for Sat, I hope it is not >:D Sun looks better :)
Yeah, looking through the weather and it doesn't look so hot. Damon had also mentioned that we may be expecting some rain in the area tomorrow.

Getting the umbrella >:D
Just checked the weather via NOAA for Camarillo and it's saying isolated thunderstorms and showers. Tomorrow they're predicting a 20% of showers and thunderstorms before 11AM. Really?!! During this time of the year, out of all the days for the airshow? Oh brother. ::)
It wasn't bad today. :)
I had my trunk monkey working over time on the way home.
Heres a couple bearcat shots
T-28's
One of the coolest paint jobs on a plane.
Clay Lacy and the Turbo Porter
Super Stallion
Spirit of America even made a couple of passes, I guess the pilots each wanted to have there picture taken, they switched seats during the passes.
A couple of SU SU
Excellent sets there, Kevin. <thumbup> Definitely looking forward to tomorrow...be nice to get 'out of town' for a day.

Yes, exceptional shots from both Jim and Kevin. <thumbsup> I'm still going through my set....work is making that almost an impossibility. We've been slammed this week, I guess payback for going to the show. >:D

Damon, I'm not even sure. This was my first taste of the warbirds and I wouldn't be able to distinguish a P-51 to a B-25. ??? Well, maybe not that bad. ;D
But I have a few more statics that I would like to post, and perhaps I can get you more of that particular one. But man, it was lookin' sweet rockin' that RR motor.
