Here are a couple nature shot from the 1980's in eastern San Diego County along Interstate 8.
Some landscape shots near The San Diego Convention Center
After my nephew's birthday party, I headed up towards the southern foothills of the Tehachapi area to check out the snow.......found a GREAT place for sledding, and ended up bumping into fellow APSOCALer Mike Darcy, too. Here are some of the shots.
Another handful.............

This was on my way home from PRS 2008, when i crested the summit, the rainbow was screamin, i quick pulled over, in such a panic to get the shot, when i opened my door, the wind grabbed it and swung it so hard it bent the hinge pilar, couldnt close it to save my life.....i pointed the van into the wind, which i'm sure was over 60mph, so i could get the shot, worry about the damage later
Here's my van, if you look closely you can see the strap across the top to hold it shut for the still 400 miles to go home

San Diego and Sea World 2010
Nice you took those from the Skytower at SeaWorld! I worked at the World for 5 years (99'-04') and my first job was working at the Skytower. I did the math one day, and no joke i have ridden that thing about 10,000 times! I always loved that job, i mean i got to ride up and down all day looking at one of the prettiest cities in the world. I saw some cool things up there: hundreds of sunsets, two green flashes in a week (the only time i ever saw it), a thunderstorm, fireworks, the snow-capped San Bernadino mountains (120 miles away), and a whole lot of other stuff. The best part to was any time people asked me if i liked my job, i would tell them it has its ups and its downs.
Funny the other picture you took of the bay, i know that exact spot behind the 4D theater.

In the Pic below is the remains of Southwestern Minnesota Farm place I grew up on between 1949 and 1968 when I left to join the U.S. Navy. The building in the extreme right was built after I left. The larger metal building in center right was built by my dad (Elmer Anderson 1910-1988) and I in the spring or 1964. The very small white building at center left is a heavily insulated water well and pump. when it was built. Dad put an electric space heater that maintained 45 degrees F. on the coldest winter days. Just in the picture on the extreme left is a barn that my grand father John Anderson (1878-1953) built more than 100 years ago. I'll Get a better pic of the barn and the concrete stave silo behind it.
Pretty cool to see where you grew up.....
In the pic below is a shot of my previously posted buildings from 1/2 mile away. The land betwen the buildings and where I took this shot is my land. Dad and Mom sold the building site in 1983 when dad retired from farmimg.

A few shots of nature along Interstate 80 in Utah. There is 105 miles of the best scenery anywhere, between Green River Utah in the east and Salina Utah on the west.
