Sweet! Count me in for this one. ;)
From what Tom told me, just say your media and you can get in at 6am like the show cars. Also Keith I have a phone #to call for any of your friends who want to bring their SNJ or BT-17 to the show
We will be there with the Huey!!!!
Sweet! I'll see you there, I will be taking my son to this show too. ;D
Anyone know if they fixed their runway? if not i dont think we'll be seeing any fixed wing stuff come in.
My guess: No
why?: i have yet to see a fixed wing military aircraft come in ever since i started living under the landing path. well i i saw a KC-130 once
Not sure. Will try asking Tom about that on whats coming in.
I am planning on going to this one!
Right on, I will be attending this event as well. Time for a break from the midterms and work!
Guess I spoke too soon....just found that I have a paper AND presentation due next Tuesday due to my stellar classmates signing up for the latest date possible, leaving me up front. We'll just play it by ear, but it doesn't look too promising >:( :( ::)
I'm in.
See you guys there.
im going to try and make it

Does anyone know how much flying they actually do at this show?
Usually some, but this is mainly a carshow. The Banana and the UH-1B are arriving at 13:00 together. I think Keith mentioned John Collver is flying. Its arrival and departures that I stay for.
If you do go early mention your are media and with apsocal and if issue ask for E LTC NGCA Thomas Lasser.
See you guys tomorrow <rob>

By the way, great shots everybody that attended the event. Still pretty disappointed that I was not able to go. Last minute academic obligations.... >:( ::)
Yes, I was using the 10-22. You know you're a photographer when you go all the way out to, and it's still not wide enough for your taste.

Just imagine if Canon made that lens for the full frame bodies. I'm sure it would appeal to many, including yourself. Talk about wide angle bliss. ;D

The air show was great. Wings and Rotors had the Huey there and we had lots of company. We flew out with the H21 from Classic Rotors. On the way home, since we were all going the same way-the Marines from Pendleton flew back with us up the coast. Here are some pictures I took and a couple my husband Scott took,,we passed the camera back in forth in the Huey,,,being careful not to drop it out the door!! Scott was facing the ocean so the sun was kinda in his face,, I was sitting in the left door so the shots I got have a little better light. Not too bad considering we were in a Huey going about 90 knots in formation!
here are a couple more
more
some more---we are still waiting for the pictures from the Marine guys of us flying with them....
I love the close one I got of the Huey guys--we were waving at each other!! It was a blast,,,
Cool shots Shayne <thumbsup> <heliguy>
Great Shots, Shayne
The H-21 Is from Classic Rotors at this link http://www.rotors.org/
WOW! It must be cool flying in formation with other helicopters, specially military ships.
Great shots Shayne and Scott. ;) <apscs>
Yeah great shots from you and Scott. Now we need to the those guys to join and post their shots of you! :D

The Marine Cobra that crashed with the CG C-130 was from Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 469 at MCAS Camp Pendleton.
