I might go out to Anaheim on Wed 2-18-09 to catch the helicopters flying in to the convention center.

Ill be there....but as far as shooting the helos landing , i think Saturday is the day.

I heard from out side, if you know where they are landing you could get some good shots with a telephotos.  But then I have never been there.  Fernando, any more suggestions?

There are a couple of Hueys  a Super Huey , and a ex navy HH-1K in HAL-3 "Sea Wolves" markings that are supposed to arrive today @ French Valley from AZ.  from Here  they will fly over to the convention center tomorrow for  display, I will find out what area the LZ will be located

Yeah its a cool link... I couldn't make out there to take pic's, it would of been fun but too busy at work... It would be cool being out there when they all depart.

 Nikon D40X was ISO 400  .7 Exposure comp 1/30 speed with the cheap but very nice 55-200MM VR kit lense.

I have no complaints with this D40X....low light has excellent quality.
