Title: back lit shooting
Post by: Jorbar1551 on October 22, 2017, 08:42:12 PM
Any secrets when shooting a back lit subject? Very few of my huntington beach airshow pictures turned out great and any decent photos are having to be overly edited in lightroom.  Any recommendations?

Jorbar1551,
You can try adding positive exposure compensation when subject's are backlit and shoot RAW files, you have more options to correct problem images. but not with JPEG.
Image was shot with +1.0 exposure compensation and adjustments with Adobe photoshop CC. Maybe somebody else may have another idea.

Thankfully I shot with Raw so I was able to rescue some shots which I posted on the HB Airshow page.
