Anybody have suggestions for decent repair shops for my Canon 40D around LA before I pack it up and send it off directly to Canon Irvine for an estimate?

I am getting the dread ERR 99, which seems all to common with the 40D. :(

You can try Samy's or Silvio's but depending on what they find it might end up in Irvine anyway.

Took my 40D in to Canon Irvine this afternoon. 5-7 days and $180 to replace the shutter plus $20 to ship it back home. <bleep>

Ouch! But still cheaper than buying a new one.
