Here's some FS photos. 2000, 2002, 2004 or FSX. Most are repaints I've done.
This first set is of my P-51 repaint.
Here's some more, this time in formation with others.
Couple of others.
Shots from FSX.
Here's some of my schemes for one of out projects.
Here's a shot of one of the hangars at TOA that I'm working on for scenery release.
And last for now, one of our projects got picked up in Computer Pilot. ;D The red bull scheme is one of mine.
Very cool, haven't used any sim's in a long time. I need to get FSX and the new add-on. I need to build a new computer, this one is getting a little outdated and I don't think FSX would run very well <bleep>
Note, been using MS flight simulator since version 2 for the Commodore 64. About 8 months ago we fired it up on a C128 and it took 4.5min to load. We have come a long way <rob>

I built mine specifically to run FSX, got it done two days before I got it, and it still ran bad. My MoBo and CPU got fried, along with the PSU. So I'm stuck with my lapscop. I'm now waiting for a good Asus AM2+ mobo so I can get the AMD Phenom 64 X4. Only issue is I don't know when a lot of these games will start supporting quad cores, but I'll be prepared ;D. I also want to get my video cards updated to crossfire, and install a water cooling system. I have a feeling that it still wont run well on XP, and theres no way I'm going Vista for a while.
lol Im still with my good old FS9. ;) I own FSX but I have the same issue... not a good enough computer. <laughing>

Tanker 20 on the Bluff Fire in Banning.
;) :D
Almost had me there... ::)
:P
It's a lot of fun flying multiplayer online. My friend Nick, his brother and I flew quite a bit today. We load, head out to the fire, drop our phoschek, return and reload. We actually had 2 other people with us at one point, two P-3s and three Cal Fire S-2s. It was a lot of fun.
Nate that P-3 #20 shot is pretty awesome!!
Thanks! :D It is our favorite type of tanker. ;)

Wow, those are great! Any interest in giving us a new P-3 repaint? All it would be is changing the existing numbers to a different one. Like taking the Tanker 20 texture and changing the nose and tail numbers to 27 and the N920AU to N927AU, Tanker 00 as N900AU, etc etc.
If you wanted to, let me know! That would be killer. You should come fly with us too. 8)

I don't have my simming equipment anymore. But if you send me the textures, I'll have a look. Have you ever thought about making a fire service VA?
I had thought of it in the past, even before we had this awesome FS KBT tanker. Now it's even more enticing. Especially if we can draw some people to fly with us that know what the air tanker thing is all about and have an idea how they are used. For example, the way tankers begin by making a pass before descending into the drop, etc. And another example, all the guys that frequent Fox would know how they takeoff, how they land, how the aircraft taxi to and from the retardant loading pits, yada yada.
I zipped up the textures and I'll try to email them to you or somethin'. That is unless my gmail throws a fit about it. Thanks for taking a look at them. :)
Tomcatter CAG and XO departing 24R at KNKX. I'm flying both <laughing>
4 ship Legacy Tailhook Flight... the way it should be!!
Flown by Nate 1, Nate 2, Nate 3, and Nate 4. ;) <laughing> FS Recorder is fun.
Cool shots Nate, are you using FSX?

That is bad ass! My computer drops a turd on me when i try and fly FS recorder, that and i can't fly formation. I need to practice some! And i think you need to set up some type of Sim flying here on APSocCal
It would be fun to have a bunch of people flying! Yep, it's FSX I'm using ;D
Obviously I'm on a Tomcat kick. Here's some VF-213 action east of Miramar, and then in the break for 24R at Miramar. :)
Here is your next shot Nate:
"Tower this is Ghostrider requesting a flyby"
"Negative Ghostrider the pattern is full"
It's time to buzz the tower Nate.

Sorry, you need a VF-31 F-4J or Vandy-1 F-4S ;D
I did a tower one... I'll put it up soon. ;)
The crappy thing about that Damon is there are no good F-4s :(
Here's a NSAWC 'Cat wringing vapor out at 600kts. 8)
Some more vapor and action shots. Gunslinger 160 in these. >:D
I'm addicted to playing with these shots...
More supersonic passes at the boat!
Prowlers heading into the break... you know where. ;)
Those are great!
Thanks Damon! They're fun to play around with. I have a pretty good stable of Naval air power going now...
A little bit of fantasy with half of this flight, but I liked it anyway :)
I don't buy much payware, but in the last couple weeks I've purchased two.
Now the proud owner of SuperbugX. The best designed flight sim aircraft ever created, hands down. 8)
Hey Nate how fast is your system, that looks like fun, but my system is slow on FS9.

Pretty fast, I actually asked around before buying my current computer last february... specifically wanting a system that would run FSX well.
ASUS Intel X58 motherboard, Intel Core i7 920 2.66GHz processor, 12gb RAM and two 1gb ATI Radeon HD-5750 video cards running in Crossfire mode.
Bad ace!! Your shots make me want to go out and buy something like that right now.

Here are some more. Now giving some love to Carrier Air Wing Eight... A pair of VFA-31 Superbugs with a VAQ-141 Prowler.

NAWC Tomcat flies with it's future replacement just south of Pax River in (virtual) 1997. Test Superhornet E4 1,000th flight.

Nate, just got to tell you that you are doing an awesome job on the flight sim screen shots. I always look forward to seeing more shots. Still waiting for you to buzz the tower at Miramar....
Keep them coming.
Haha thanks Chris... I keep forgetting to do that one!
VX-23 just up river from the Boeing plant at St Louis. Trying out some new Mid-America photoreal scenery I installed last night. Love that the water in the river is brown like it actually is, and not glistening blue.

Yeah, I really dig the satellite sceneries. 8)
While the baby sleeps, took a quick time out to play with some more payware I recently acquired. Here is the strike from hell... enroute to demolish an Al Queda bunker complex in eastern Afghanistan. ;D
Rain of fire........
"AZRAEL" The Angel of Death Rules!!!
I'd love to see the results of that strike ;D
Now... Texaco 11...
Had a buddy of mine paint me up an Orion to match the VP-9 CoNA bird.
Supers Supersonic ;)
;)
VFA-115 heading into the merge over the Sea of Japan...
And formed back up headed back to Atsugi.
And all the color bird Echo Superbugs of Carrier Air Wing 5.
Nice screenies Nate!
Thanks Nick!

Very nice Nate. How are the frames for the Miramar scenery so far?
No one under 18 all at El Centro :-\
Chris, do you still have FSX?

Thanks Josh... so far I'm experiencing absolutely no hit to frames. My target is set to 30 and it hasn't moved. 8) Luckily the scenery program I has offers large crowd groups all as one, so I used about 8 so far. They're all super low poly so no hit yet. Even the static planes are pretty easy on it.
Haha Damon, yeah I wish I could have kept that kid out of there. He came with one of the groups I wanted to use. <laughing>

no I never had it, I was looking into it, but i think the computer i have would be to slow. In addition i have my computer hooked up to my 60" TV and it is slow when i stream stuff....I could only imagine what it would do when i put up FSX.....I'll try FS2004 first.

A quick little 2 minute video for the Bone fans out there. A nice little high speed low level bomb run in the B-1, with Tehachapi standing in for a middle eastern landscape. ;) Target is a Tu-16. I recently got a very enjoyable weapons package addon for FSX.
