That helo was, it has since been transfered to Atlantic City.

Don't have a clue, I would imagine that isn't their only 65, I see one fly-by every now and again.

I think they had about 2 last time i went to their base (when I worked at LAX). It would be nice to have a Jayhawk for our Los Angeles base. thnx for the info.

Really? The bright orange seems more sleek though.. but the old colors are old school.

USCG Air-station LA Just got its first MH-65C armed and updated Dolphin last week. The most interesting upgrade is the new fantail/Fenstron. The blades are now staggered to allow a large decrease in noise. It is a new sound....no more howl but a more subdued sound.

  It also has a new external antenna`s ....no guns but mounts for them

FYI: LAX just got a retro painted  HH-65C that a few of you have seen already.  It will be here for a while.   We were lucky to get it.  I first saw it on Flickr coming out of paint booth.

Hey Damon- The mountain of dirt was there from the construction they are doing near by. The reflection is showing off current and past color schemes-- not sure how that just happened to show up in the picture.

  Terrific shots.......your Canon got the color just right. My Nikon`s always oversaturate the orange.

Actually I added in about 15 saturation in photoshop. I had a bear of a time color balancing it, glad it didn't come out too over saturated.
