Lost among the Pt. Mugu and Camarillo Airshow news is the Santa Paula Airshow on August 14th and 15th marking the airport's 80th Anniversary. For more info, see their website: http://www.santapaulaairport.com/airshow/index.html (http://www.santapaulaairport.com/airshow/index.html)
Santa Paula is a fun "little" airport somewhat like Cable. It might be worth a trip - the heavy metal promised is Clay Lacy and his Learjet 24 doing aerobatics... Plus this will give you the chance to come out to Ventura County for three weekends in a row! Five dollar admission for adults.
Went to this one in 2005, thoroughly enjoyed it, like Cable, a nice place to get pan shots of takeoffs.........
Thanks for the post ;) I missed this one, it's on the calendar now :-[

Here is a good article on that aircraft type:

Kevin, I have to ask - Why is it that so many of your images seem to have a halo around the aircraft? It's especially noticeable on the clear blue sky shots. What sort of processing are you doing to the images that could cause that (I"m guessing it's the "highlights and shadows" tools?). ???
Other than that small thing you have a nice set of images from the show, thanks for posting them. ;D
