Aluminum Overcast B-17 At Torrance 2010

April 9-11, 2010 Friday - Sunday,

Torrance, CA

Hosted by Torrance Airfair Association

B-17 location on field – General Aviation Center

To book a flight please call 1-800-359-6217.

Pricing for flights
Pre-book - for EAA members $359, for non-members $399
Walk-up – for EAA members $385, for non-members $425

Self Guided Ground Tours daily from 2-5 pm. Cost $5 per adult, $15 per family. Active Military or Veterans free.

EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast." One of only 14 Fortress's still flying, this aircraft is an icon of the Allied strategic bombing effort that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Unlike reading a history book, you can actually fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent machine, just as those brave young men did more than 60 years ago.

Going to try and make this one with my Dad, but not sure of the date.  I thought 9th was Good Friday but is not.  So note sure now.  That's a full weekend already for me with other family matters.

They are set up already.  Just need a B-17 now.  John's SNJ and Wilburs BT-13 will be near by it seems.
