Always wanted to try and shoot lightning, unfortunately i live in the wrong part of the country for it. But i got my first chance tonight when a small thunderstorm moved just south of San Diego tonight. Only managed to get three mediocre shots. Never done this before, but i think if there was a real intense storm it would be easier (and without city lights, alot of my shots came out orange)

They look great ;)
Nice shots - I especially like the first one.
Dirty SOB... I was looking forward to the opportunity to try for some last night... I even lugged my camera out to work with me all night in the rain. I could see flashes to the south from that storm, and flashes to the west, flashes to the north... basically everywhere else in Southern California but here. They all died before they could get to Hemet, so all I got was a tease out of it. Of course, the ones that went elsewhere lived and strengthened, but that was because they didn't come here. ::) We always get jacked for thunderstorms in Hemet.
The 1st shot is the best for sure.
I think they came out well. I really like the first one.
I tried to get some last night but I wasn't lucky enough and wasn't in a good spot, all I got were a few flashes.
Most of the lightning was cloud-to-cloud and was hidden by clouds.
