In my home town of Lakefield Minnesota and the surrounding area recieved the earilest snowfall in at least 75 years. The weather has had below normal temps most of the summer and early fall and the last few days the temps have been 20-30 degrees below normal, enough that the overnight low was 15 degrees F. THat low hard freeze was enough to officially end the growing season. The day time high was 40Degrees F at 4 pm on October 10th, by then most of the snow had melted.
