I can't believe they're getting hit that hard. I heard L.A. City and has helos doing night drops.
Just drove through Palos Verdes and Portuguese Bend headed towards San Pedro...I'd never thought that I would see fires blazing in RPV. I'm gonna see if I can grab a few shots from the sidestreets. The main streets are packed with onlookers and such. Amazing.
Robert N is up ther now :o
The glow is >:D Where are the tankers ???
WOW! A fire everywhere!!! Amazing... <flame>
I think I remember one of the fire fighters at Heroes talking about wild fires, pretty crazy stuff... :o
Snagged some shots of the " >:D " glow from here in Pedro. Will post tomorrow. The moon is blood red from the smoke. Have shots of it too. Worst one I have seen in PV ever.

They don't fly at night, foo! ;) ;D
We need em out here more though. We've got a fire that started at 5:30 last night. By 7:30, it was at 600 acres :o
Most of the tankers from the Morris Fire were pulled out here before dusk.
News stated that they had 5 helos at 10pm. 600 acre fire in Hemet too.
Ash on the car this morning.

I can hear the news choppers out there but can't see smoke from where I am.
Looks like 35% containment :)
Fire in PV has been fully contained since yesterday afternoon. Here are some I captured in the midst of all the chaos. All of these are fully unedited, and I did the best I could. Didn't have a tripod and was shooting > 1 second exposure time.
Great stuff!!!
Thanks Alan! I ended up driving up via Crest and Crestridge Rds. right behind the fire and it was pretty surreal to see all the thick smoke and ash flying everywhere. What a night that was.
WOW!
Great shots Duy ;) Man it was bad out there >:D
