Here you go.
Looks like you have the browser zoomed in... Try holding down ctrl and roll the scroll wheel on the mouse back and forth. It should only be on your end. I've checked it on all versions of IE + on 40+ others with no problems like that.
Mmm are you running IE6? I just noticed the top header and menu. That is a IE6 and below problem and there is nothing I can do for that. As for the text, read above post. I hate IE. >:D

Yeah that helped but the runway menu is only half showing?
The new layout looks good for the most part. I like how the post and photos now span across the entire screen. Before, the avatar and name info would eat up ~100 pixels on the left side, and while I run at 1920x1200, I really don't want to upload any smaller than I do now...the pictures just don't look big enough and I would have to scroll horizontally at work because we use 19 inchers @1280x1024. But again, everyone has a different monitor and accommodating that wide range is a chore in itself.
As for the actual arrangement of the posts and how they look, my only gripe is that I'm still having a hard adjusting to all the lines in between the name, the post itself and then the signature. However, it does look more "streamlined" than what it looked like before when you made that change for a few days with this similar layout.
No problems to report using Firefox 3.0.13. I'm upgrading to 3.5.2 today and will let you know if I have any problems, however I don't forsee any. <thumbup>

Maybe if I a added a slightly offset color or gradient for the poster info and signature, do you think this would help?
Cool, Im actually starting to like this layout.. >:D
I have no problems with it and Im using IE8 <angel> <laughing>
Thanks Josh.

Haha. Yeah it grows on you. I actually stole the idea from another site, I didn't like it at first... then I'm like... damn this is great. I still plan on giving everyone the option of the old vs. the new.
If I remember right, there is an issue with the menu in IE8 and 7, where the text is pushed to the top and there is a larger white space above the menu. This has been my biggest pain and have yet to find a solution or the cause. Typical M$ IE crap.
I have no issues with the menu and Im using IE8. >:D (Shot 1)
The only thing is my avatar, is too big? Josh, yours and Roberts (Midnight) seems fine.. ??? (Shot 2)
WHAT the hell... The menu looks perfect.... But it should be centered. Damnit. As for your avatar... It should be fine, works fine for me. You text is larger than it should be, like Damon's, try holding ctrl and scroll back and forth with the mouse scroll wheel. That might affect the avatar too.

I had the exact same thing in mind...that would be perfect. Just play around with the color and see what it looks like. Thanks again Josh.

Alright, I'll work on it.
If only the world abandon IE and used Firefox. IE drives me to drink. Hmm I think I have a new idea for a site! >:D

Font size is fine already but did not fix the avatar, no worries, I was just wondering. Thnx though. ;)

I'll add in an IE8 specific width so it will remove the scrollbars.
IE8 with a beer hahaha <laughing> <cheers>

LOL <rolf>, cheap way to get you buzzed. Agreed, Firefox > IE. That crappy browser has more security holes than a block of Swiss cheese.
LOL! <laughing>
Looks good in Google Chrome! A small request, though...any chance you can put another nav bar (the one from the top that says HOME FORUM BOOKMARKS etc) at the bottom of the screen as well?

I dunno, haven't heard of this from anyone else yet. What versions are you running of both.
I will be reverting back to the old layout for the time being while I make changes.

Yep, noticed that this morning.
The home page doesnt download anymore.....just the top bar....this sucks.
Why change things that work ?
Hey Josh, I have a similar problem. The homepage will load only if I an not logged in. If I log in only the header and footer load.
Don't know whats up, the site is using the old system now, Nothing has changed. I can't do anything because mine is showing up fine.

To make things work better, unfortunately sometimes it can be hit and miss. There's things behind the scenes that don't function to it's best. But right now the site is no different than from when you joined. I don't know why only half the front page loaded. Could be that the site had a large traffic hit at that time. Everything shows up fine for me.

I have the same problem. I just end up viewing the new topics as a guest, then log in from the current thread, then post. Tried a couple of hard page refreshes, but no dice.
Heh, should be working now. My dumbass didn't set access permissions under your new membergroups when I made that new board. <prog> <bleep>
I was really worried that I was gonna need to reinstall the site from scratch. :'(
Josh
Looks like everythings good.........thanks

Awesome. Now the real work begins... I REALLY hate IE. And IE8... god don't get me started on that.
I've figured out that for some reason Microsoft decided to not follow standards on how font sizes are rendered and that is why IE users are experiencing this LARGE FONT problem. Somewhere as I was coding the new version I broke the code that fixed this, and now I can't figure out where I broke it.
Yeah, seems like another good ol' gift from Microsoft. Simple fix for the text would be to hold ctrl and scroll down/up, but that doesn't size up everything else proportionately.
Microsoft = 0
Mozilla Firefox = Still kickin' :D
Everything looks great from where I sit. :) Nice work!

Yup. A standard feature I've forgotten to activate over time.

I know, I'm the same way... sometimes I fire up Photoshop when I'm bored and go through folders of long past shoots. Trying to see what hidden gems I can find and bring back to life. ;D
Today I'm gonna look at the article system, maybe have it up and running, less I hear from Keith and we go hit up a bar. See what I can mess up today. :P
