Nice candid shot there...I think this perfectly illustrates what we are all about.  Photography is a never-ending learning experience and I just love how you can look up to our fellow photographers for tips and advice.  We are always in search for that "perfect" photo and I admire the bond we have here at APSC.  Cheers to our "brotherhood".  Thanks for sharing Glen! <thumbup>

By the way, that lens is pure bliss.  Thanks so much again, I owe you a few cold ones. <cheers>

Yes, the ADDICTION is strong in all of us, master.  I hold you responsible for the birth of mine.  By the way, correction to the photo, that is actually your 30D...I know that you never took your 100-400 off your 50D.  My mistake, but I still caught you!  Now, let's see some of mine!  Still waiting for the ones from LAX. :(

Pretty cool picture.  She into photography as well?  That reminds of me of my Canon AE-1 Program, which i still use today.  Took my parents' wedding photos with it back in the day.  Definitely not as heavy as the Nikon F-2, however.

She's definitely following my footsteps. She's easily as good as me at shooting planes, and definitely better at it shooting people; she's majoring in it at AVC.

Excellent!  That's great, Alan.  Glad she enjoys it as much as we do.  I was thinking about minoring in photography or photojournalism...I already have my eyes on the prize with the MIS option at LB State.

Robert searching for the Qatar C-17 southeast of KLGB.  It was supposed to be airborne for '2 hours' according to Boeing engineers, but never made it back before we had to head off.  The heat was blazing that day, but definitely worth the effort to catch her.

Admittedly, before I bought my dSLRs, I've always thought about doing this and wondering what type of results it would get.  I just never had the courage to do it in front of others, but seeing this makes me not feel so much like a dingaling anymore.  Way to go kiddo, you've officially made my day. :D

A local Flickr group that congregated at the hill yesterday. Looks like the Asian chick and one of the other members took notice. Of note, she was the one that organized the group meeting. From what I can tell, she's was using the 5D Mk. II and the 24-70 F/2.8 lens. Definitely not a setup for the beginner.

And Diego looks possessed in the first shot. <rolf>

Hah, it sure does.  Got one of you working your magic at Aviation Nation 2009.

I was there.  That was the days before my DSLR.  I was shooting that show with a Fujifilm p&s. Here's my only people watching planes shot from that day:
