Got it, will post later ;D

Hah!! Beat you to it!   :P
It's too bad that we were not able to see him jump out of the blimp.  The darn thing just hovered over us for about 10 minutes, and all of the sudden we saw the parachuter in the air.  <bleep>
Oh well...

Skydivers drop in over the Queen Mary July 2 on Thursday

On Thursday, July 2 at approximately 11:00 am, the Airship Ventures Eureka will make a special flight over the Queen Mary. Hovering at 3000 ft above Events Park, former Navy SEAL Leapfrog parachutist Geoff Reeves and his team will make an historic Para drop from the airship, landing precisely in a specially designated drop zone.

The skydivers and the zeppelin will be given a special welcome to Long Beach, with nautical flags on the ship spelling out the word "Eureka."

The public is invited to view this special jump at the Queen Mary Events Park, 1126 Queen's Highway, Long Beach (at the end of the 710 freeway at the corner of Harbor and Queen's Way).

This special event kicks off Eureka's second excursion to L.A. from its home base in the Bay Area ;D

Those are sweet Glen!

I was shooting (before even knowing they'd be taking me up) from the Air Flite parking lot and, even though I had my credentials and their visitors sticker, was denied from that location by Air Flite personnel. I couldn't blame them, though as they were following their guidelines.

Good chance for you guys to get more shots tomorrow as they are booked solid for fights.  <thumbsup>

I'd go back in a heartbeat, but have to save gas $$ for Madera.
