Sorry to correct you but it was the Inglewood-Newport fault at about 8 mile depth shaking.. Since so deep it did not cause as much damage.  As for myself, I am in West LA.  Shook rattled and rolled for about 20+ seconds over here.. Was reading email finally after a week...  Everything was rattling...

Measured at 4.7 on the USGS website...

Cool, Thanks

The earh quake happned along the Northridge-Ingelwood fault which runs under Long Beach and south to San Diego and becomes the Rose Canyon fault in San Diego. Thats why the earthquake was felt in San Diego.

Like to hear from our most southern (RANDER) and northern (ALAN) if they felt it.

Well, Damon I did not feel it was to busy sleeping. Some of the people I work with at The Fleet Readyness Center said they felt it. I remember the Northridge quake of 1994, That one I felt and imediately turned on the tv in the bed room and watching KTLA Channel 5 show pics of the Northridge area.

Try being on the epicenter of the 1994 quake at 4.30 in the Morning. That was freaking impressive.

In that one we lived in El Segundo on imperial over looking LAX, it is a long story but one I will never forget :P

From Pedro: Felt like 3 big bangs, like the ground was dropping from underneath me, unlike the usual "rolling wave" feelings. My cat is MIA, probably stashed under the dresser.
