QuoteId suggest you keep a portfolio of 8x10s you shot when your taking plane pics. If the cops bug you show em the pics and that should be that.....they must know people like Airplanes and 99.999999 percent of them are are harmless photo nerds.

Ive never ever been talked to.....and ive been plenty of secure places where you would think they would at least ask.

I really don`t get it.

This is a good idea...i was telling keith something like this...also i found out that there is no crime for taking pictures of planes..i have a friend who works for lapd and he was telling if they have a rite to question you and just anser them and you should be fine.....

One of the presidents landed at Los Al, maybe Kennedy, not sure.  But my dad would see all kinds of stuff gone in there.  He use to work at Mitsubishi on Katella and is in the approach path.   Never got to go over there and hang out and take shots......

I though Nixon used to land at MCAS El Toro, Being he was the Command in Chief, he could land anywhere AF-1 could land. E.T. would have been 30 miles closer to what was then the Western White House in San Clemente.

Why don`t they use Los Alamitos ? Seems more secure.

I assume that is a South takeoff, right?

That's what I've always seen done with the AN-124s before.

Lets hope they use LGB in the future instead of LAX.

Great shots of AF-1, Chili. How far away were you and what lens were you using?
