Thanks much for the input...and I'm impressed with the pic, both the quality and the fact that I waited...and waited...and waited for a clear shot. You have an anti-crowd filter on that D40X?
<laughing>

Skip, that is a very good shot btw...  ;)

D40X  ISO 400 Apeture priority.....straight from camera.

I just got a D40X refurb from adorama.....its brand new , perfect condition. I paid $275.00 but they raised it to $299.00. I clean my sensor with a foot pump and it works everytime. Ive used the foot pump with my D70 for 3 1/2 years and it works perfect. The D70 sensor is in perfect condition.

  Anyway the 40X and D60 take the same pictures....and they are incredible and as good as any camera NIKON makes. They only thing the 40X does better than my D70 is have richer colors straight from the camera and is better at 400 ISO (id never go over ISO 400 , For quality). The pics i took at HAI inside the building are superb. I was shooting at 400 iso and apeture priority.

   The only glitch with the camera is the 3 focus points....this might be a problem with air-to-air. We will see very soon as ill be doing some next week.

I thought the camera was a bit small and it is...BUT the lightness and ease of use makes up for it. Light is good.

For $275.00-$300.00 id buy the 40X over the 60......i LOVE the camera......more than a D300 or even the D90. Theres no image quality difference up to ISO 400....none....i mean ZERO.

That said the D90 will replace my D70 because of its many focus points....and ability to use all the nikon lenses.

I'm considering a new D60, and would appreciate hearing praises and beefs from those who've used it, especially the effectiveness of the anti-dust system. Thanks!
