Just found this thread...sorry I didn't see it sooner. If anyone has interest, back in 2005 I shot a walk-around of this for my old blog, which is archived at http://web.archive.org/web/20060614064649/mojaveweblog.com/pages/051026-1.html

Great pix ;)

The latest news Re: N553TT A6M  Zero , is that its not going to be heading to Japan ,The deal fell through ,the plane instead will be ferried to Caldwell, Idaho it should be departing between this week and next week , I will  be speaking with the pilot  for the ferry flight before the  end of this week to find out what day it will be leaving

Good to see it will stay in the US ;D

Sucks that it would fly anymore once it gets to Japan.

Yes, we must keep all these types of aircraft in the US >:D Too many of them are being sold to other countries :'(

A6M3 model22 N553TT belongs to Tom Thomas and is in the process of being sold to an unknown  individual (Japan) ??? the asking price was 1.9m

this plane was one of 3  Zero's  manufactured in russia , the other two birds 1 owned by David Price, an the other owned by Paul Allen, which will be ready to fly shortly
