The first 2 shots are from a 2006 Texaco Haviline Dodge Charger formerly driven by Juan Pablo Montoya. First is the instrument panel, second is the ignition boxes in 2005, NASCAR rules made the teams move the ignition boxes up on the top of the dash board. THe ignition boxes are mounted on  a panel held in place with 4 bolts, if NASCAR impounds the ignition panel, you better have another one if you want to run your race car.

the 3rd shot is a Chevrolet race engine ina former Terry Labonte driven, Hendrick Motorsports Kelloggs Chevrolet.

Retired NASCAR Sprint Cup Series cars were at The Coronado Speed Festival for the first time in the 11 years the Festival has been held. Some of the 30 or so retired cars that are here are shown. Among the cars shown is a 2004 Loews Chevrolet that was once driven by Jimmie Johnson. The current owner paid $65,000 for a rolling chassis. He then hired a Hendrick Motorsports employee to build up the car as orginal as possible. An additional $60,000 later the current owner has a race ready car.

The Ford Motor Company was well represented with many Mustangs, a Mid fiftys Thunderbird, an early 60' Falcon, and a early 70's Cougar.

A few of the Big Race Haulers in the pit.  The haulers are just about as interesting as the race cars.
