McDonnell Douglas F/A-18D Hornet BuNo 164058 #446 of VFA-122 made a very short touch ad go. That's the closest that I have ever been to an airplane flying with its afterburners lit. It blasted me with turbulent hot air and pushed me several feet down the runway. I could feel the acoustic pummeling all through my body.

Great shots Trent. Especially love the burner on NJ103. Were you standing at the beginning of his TO roll?

Thanks Nate, I was just to the west of the LSO shack.

Thanks to APSOCAL, Damon, Keith, Michelle and her team, Kris and Nick. Very blessed to attend and it was great hanging out with Nick out at the runway. Appreciated the escort down to the 6000 foot marker.

First shot is outside the fence during the 0830 hop. 6 pitched right past us in the field from 20 feet. Was awesome. The rest is from inside on the call. :)
