AFMC public affairs, Freedom of Information Act, Davis-Monthan public affairs. I don't really know myself. I looked around the net for the info last night and didn't get anymore info other than what I posted. I don't know how long they keep the logs, or even if they do after the aircraft is chopped. Can be some time and money to find the info, especially with a FoIA request. Just depends on how bad you want to know where the photo was shot. ;)

Might not be too hard if you really wanted to know... Look up the UC-123K in the photo. No. 55-4535, c/n 20196. Now/was sitting in the yard at Davis-Monthan. Just track down the flight records of her, on the date of the photo and you should find her location, thus the location of the photo.

An old B&W print of an Alaska Airlines C-130 "Golden Nugget Freighter" is the featured photo for the week on my Vintage Air blog. Would love to know where this was shot at, though.
