Lancaster, Jethawk Stadium KC135 Flyover

Sucker came in right over my head and flew way out west before banking and heading back to the east.

Don't really have a fly over topic (Damon?) but this relates to the 4th of July so here goes.
This is the first C-17 fly by of their 15 planned for today, over the Reagan Library 1500 hrs exactly!

Wishing all APSOCAL photographers a safe and Happy 4th of July tomorrow!  ;D

I, too, 2nd the wish for a safe day for everybody.

If I could have one photography related wish, it would be to take my 2011 equipment and go back 10 years to July 4, 2001.  The SEALs used to do a land/air/sea demo in Glorietta Bay that makes the MAGTAF look like kids playing with sparklers.  SEALs parachuting into Glorietta Bay.  Mk V assault craft bombing around at top speed.  H-46 and H-60 aircraft fastroping SEALs.  All of it at close range, with a year's supply of blank ammo.  Yes, the boats and helos would be going full auto with .50 cals and gatling guns.

Some SEALs would play the OPFOR and defend the golf course from the attacking SEALs.  Lots of sand flying from the demo charges set off.

9/11 put an end to the July 4 SEAL demo, but I never stop hoping that one day it wil come back.
