The Quad Cities Air Show for 2011 was the 25th Anniversary of this air show usually the 3 weekend in June, is held at The Davenport Municipal Airport (KDVN) in Iowa. THe Blue Angels and The F-15 Strike Eagle  had to fly up from The Quad Cities International Airport (KMLI) so that the Blue Angel Performance was shortened a bit with some highpower, high fuel consumption moves left out, so that the delta had enough fuel to return to KMLI. This was the first time that I experienced this.  But still, The Blue Angel pratice on Friday and the Performances on Saturday and Sunday were Excellent.  Veteran Photographers who attend this air show tell me the conditions for photography are usually bad. Having made some adjustments on the 50-D, I hope these BA shots arn't that bad. For more info www.quadcitiesairshow.com
