Kevin and I opted to hang out at the Proud Bird and it paid off for the arrival on 25. It departed on 24.

Little bit of a hop for an A320.  Is it not coming from NZ?

It is brand new, being delivered from the factory, headed TO New Zealand.  Not sure of the range of an A320, they must be doing it in stages.

Has anyone shot from up there yet? Can you get a good view of arrivals on 24 and 25?

Thanks for posting this, my wife is actually telling me I need to be out of the house Sunday (Girl Scout meeting at our place).  Of course the meeting isn't until 200pm, and I'd be leaving the house about 600AM to get there in time, but hey, nobody is perfect.

I've only shot the A380 one time, from In-N-Out, and there was MASSIVE glare from the sun.  The 380 comes in on 24, and the Theme Building would be perfect for that, right?

For anything landing on 25, shooting from the Theme Building you'd be looking upsun, if you were at Imperial Hill the sun would be at your back.

I've only been at LAX twice, what do the LAX lifers say?

I have never been to the observation deck before.

I might drive down but is that the the best place to see these planes come in?  Imperial Hill, In n Out?
