Old Fort MacArthur Days 2008
Sponsored by Associated Foundations Inc.

Welcome to the home page of the west's largest continually running re-enactment and living history timeline event!

For more than twenty years now the Fort MacArthur Museum has sponsored what has turned into the west's largest multicultural celebration of world military history. What began as a small gathering of cannon enthusiasts has blossomed into a truly spectacular event showcasing the history of military activity from around the world and across time.

On Saturday and Sunday July 12-13, 2007, The Fort MacArthur Museum in San Pedro, California is proud to present another of its special annual themed fundraisers "Old Fort MacArthur Days".

This event is Southern California's longest running military history events and is being sponsored by the Fort MacArthur Museum Association and Associated Foundations Inc.

Visitors to the museum will have a chance to interact with hundreds of living history performers representing time periods from the days of the Roman Legions up through the Vietnam War. Our guests can also visit the camp sites to see exhibits on daily life, field craft, music, and other entertainments. Special for this year is the recreation of the 110th Anniversary of the Spanish-American War featuring Teddy Roosevelt's Rough Riders charge up the San Juan Heights.

Joining us again this year is our special celebrity guest, R. Lee Ermey. Lee is a retired Marine Corps Gunnery Sergeant, a professional actor, and has been seen in dozens of feature films, television shows and is the host of the "Mail Call" television program on "The History Channel".

The hours of this years show are 10:00am–4:00pm both days. Tickets cost $10.00 per person and benefit the restoration, preservation, and education programs of the Fort MacArthur Museum. Tickets can be purchased at the front gate to the museum beginning at 10:00am on both days and as always parking is free. Food and drinks will also be available at an additional charge.
