Lake Tahoe Lake In The Sky Air Show  <rocker>

June 28th, 2008

It's the Lake Tahoe Airport's 50th Anniversary! Join us in the celebration - at the biggest and best air show in the High Sierra! The 19th annual Lake In The Sky Air Show at the Lake Tahoe Airport, in South Lake Tahoe, CA on Saturday, June 28th, 2008.

Be here at the Lake of the Sky Air Show for all the action! You'll see many of the country's top aerobatic performers including living legends Bill Cornick, Spencer Suderman defying gravity in his famous Pitts.

GREAT EXPECTATIONS
You won't want to miss the spectacular opening ceremonies Warbird 'fly bys!' And then get up close to several vintage Warbirds and military static display aircraft, including the U.S. Marine Corps' V-22 Osprey and AV-8 Harrier "Jump-Jet,' the Navy's F-18 Hornet Strike/Attack Fighter, and many more Army, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Marine Corp aircraft on display.

Homebuilt, experimental, Highway Patrol, CALSTAR, CAP and other aircraft are also invited to participate. Additionally, an Air Force Heritage fly-by is planned accompanied by a WW-II Warbird. And our ever-popular Flying 5K Run is back.

Additional presentations expected this year include demonstrations by a precision free fall skydive team and a wildfire suppression Hilo water drop. And an NAS Fallon (Top Gun!) Search & Rescue (SAR) aircraft is once again expected to perform a demonstrated rescue mission.

COME FLY WITH ME
There will be a hearty pancake breakfast offered by the Kiwanis Club. You'll have opportunities for exciting helicopter and airplane rides. You'll see displays of equipment used by fire emergency response and search and rescue teams. NASA will have educational display.

This year's Extra Added Attractions include the Tahoe Douglas Rotary Club's Invitational Chili Cook Off and the Tahoe Blue Riders motorcycle show & shine.
