Great photos of this TBM Avenger. The Avenger was the largest carrier based aircraft in WWII.

WHO: Charlie Stroeher - Sailed into combat as part of the Torpedo
Squadron VT-5 on the USS Franklin in 1945.  The USS Franklin was
hit and almost sunk on March 19, 1945 just off the coast of Japan
suffering enormous casualties.  Charlie was one of the 833 survivors
rescued by the light cruiser USS Sante Fe that pulled along side the
crippled ship.

WHAT: We present eyewiness accounts facilitated by a discussion,
question and answer period, and culminating in a flight demonstration
featuring the TBM Avenger. Members are entered into a raffle for a
flight following the presentation.

WHEN: Saturday, July 3, 2010; 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Speaker
program; 12:00 pm - Avenger Flight Demonstration.
