Caught this today. Not sure when this showed up, but it's in the industrial area near the armory. Here's what's left of C-130E #61-2360A.

That C130 carcass has been further chopped up and moved inside that end unit.   No longer visible without peering through the building windows.

Two of the Dornier 328s Boeing is using to shuttle people between Seattle and the AV for the 747-8 Project.

Odd that they aren't using a BBJ....

Saw the C130 carcass last Thursday.   Wonder what the story is...

Cool, but too bad the P-2 will fade away.  Maybe sell them to a warbird owner, but probably too big and costly.  Use to be one under restoration at Almogordo Airport.

That would be cool to see.  Is it just the one tanker?  I would think they still need the P-2's!
Yeah so far they only have one but both Minden and Neptune Aviation intend on getting rid of their P-2s in the very near future. :( Will be a sad day to see come. It'll especially be ironic in the case of Neptune Aviation... the name won't be relevant anymore. :p

Minden has one, Neptune has one also, and a company called Tronos is working on a 3rd. The Tronos 146 completed it's first aerial test drop last October. (See their picture below). There's also a video online of theirs doing low altitude testing of air tanker flight profiles and the word is the plane handled very well over ridges and canyons. It has a speed brake which will be nice.

Heads up to Brian, my fellow air tanker buddy... I guess Minden's BAe146 tanker project was spotted at Fox today. Supposedly they're looking to get it certified to fly on fires sometime this season. I'm gonna miss the P-2s. :(

My father in law works there, so maybe I'll have to go bug him at work some time!  That looks like a cool place.  Where's the best place to stand for arrivals and departures?
