PREPARING FOR YOUR FLIGHT EXPERIENCE:
- Arrive at least a half-hour prior to your scheduled flight time.
- You will be asked to sign a waiver of liability before the flight.
- Your flight engineer will discuss aircraft safety with you prior to the engine start.
- Once the aircraft is airborne, you will be allowed to visit the nose, bomb bay, navigation/radio, cockpit and waist sections.
- For safety reasons it is not possible to enter the ball turret or the tail turret.
- Cameras and camcorders are welcome.
PUBLIC FLIGHT TIMES: At each stop, flight "missions" are available in the airplane, which allow people to take flights and ground tours in this spectacular aircraft. Public tours are available April 20 -21. Flights take place every 45 minutes beginning at 10:15 am - 1:15 p.m. A minimum of six people is required per flight. If fewer than six people are booked for a flight we will try to reschedule the flight that day or another day during the tour.
PRE-BOOK PRICES: Flights are $359 for EAA members and $399 (includes a Free 1 year EAA membership) for non-members who PRE-BOOK their flights on the website at www.b17.org or call toll-free 1-800-359-6217.
ON-SITE/WALK-UP PRICES: Once the B-17 is on location at the current tour stop pre-book tickets are no longer available for that tour location. The cost for EAA members is $385 and $425 (includes a Free 1 year EAA membership) for non-members and the phone number to book a flight is 920-371-2244. The airplane's crew is available at each tour stop to answer questions.
GROUND TOURS PRICES: The public may take a ground tour of the plane on public flying days from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Ground tours cost: $5 per person, $15 per family (adults/children up to 17 – immediate family members), Children under 8 free when accompanied by paying adult, and Free to All Active Military or Veterans.

EAA is offering historic flight experiences in its beautifully restored B-17G Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast." One of only 14 Fortress's still flying, this aircraft is an icon of the Allied strategic bombing effort that helped turn the tide of battle in World War II. Unlike reading a history book, you can actually fly a mission back in time and feel the might of this magnificent machine, just as those brave young men did more than 60 years ago.
