Helicopters!

They serve your community everyday.  Whether transporting the police or a team of medical experts, they fly through the sky, most of the time without catching your attention.  Daily these vital tools put out fires, save lives, catch criminals, transport passengers, and cover important news stories.  Now everyone can have the chance to meet the professionals who pilot and crew these valuable resources to our communities.

Over thirty helicopters used for Fire Fighting, Search & Rescue, Aero-Medical, Corporate Transportation, Law Enforcement, Flight Training, Military and other purposes will be on hand at the Santa Monica Airport.  Pilots, owners and operators will be available to discuss issues related to helicopters.  There will be displays on the uses and benefits of helicopters, aviation souvenirs, autographs, refreshments.......

Come and see in person well-known reporters!  Meet celebrity pilots such as Sky-9's Larry Welk!   See the helicopters that cover the news like KTLA "Sky Cam 5 HD" and the KIIS-FM's traffic copter at this very unique event.

Aviation fans are encouraged to be there – great photo opportunities!  Many supporters of the rotorcraft community will be on hand to focus on today's helicopter and the many uses of these amazing machines.

The PHPA is a Non-Profit Association dedicated to flight safety throughout the aviation community, endorsing the concepts of the "fly neighborly" program and committed to fly to a higher standard.  Any proceeds garnered through donations or sales from the event are used to promote education and annual safety programs.
