I was in the area this morning so I stopped by to take a look.    I am completely unfamiliar with Long Beach Airport and couldn't figure out where I could find the plane.    I was driving away in defeat and it flew low over my head before I could pull over and grab my camera.

Even without pics, seeing the plane in flight was well worth the side trip.   It looked beautiful flying out towards the Pacific over Long Beach.

No, I think what happened was that due to the rain on Saturday they had to cancel some flights and do them on Sunday.  So instead of doing tours at 4, they were still doing flights, so I took off.  But I got to see 3 takeoffs and landings, which was cool.

Made it down to Gillespie to see Liberty Bell fly.  Parked myself at the end of the runway and just took it all in! ;D ;D ;D

She is doing flights this weekend at Gillespie.  I wonder how kind they are to folks who just want to take pictures?  Anyone have any experience with that?
You pay an admission fee to look and go thru her when they are not giving flights.  I saw her at VNY.
