OK, it's been a very busy past year and a half and I've been neglecting you guys.  I have moved to Gardnerville, NV and since I am so close to Fallon, I did go to the show. Here is what I got:

It was very hot, and I did not stay for the Blues. Just wanted to get out of there, besides, I've seen the Blues hundreds of times. I just wanted to shoot the A10, Glacier Girl, Heritage flight, and F5's.

Wish I could say I miss Torrance . . .

I do miss this group though. Guess I'm no longer a Southern California Aviation Photographer  :-\

Now I'm a Northern Nevada MX Photographer

Anyway, just thought I'd share what I got at Fallon.

Back from the NAS Fallon trek (also checked out the Sacramento airshow on Sat, Reno balloon race on Sun, so am pretty worn out) - here's the first batch of photos..............

The show was pretty good. Light was bad in the AM, got better as the day went on. They had a beautiful 'Vigilantes' squadron CAG bird on display, amidst a LONG row of Hornets. Color tailed C-2, several aggressors, and a pair of Republic Sea Bees parked nose to nose. The Tigercat, 'Here Kitty Kitty' was on display, along with the Bearcat with French markings.

I'd guess the crowd was somewhere around 10,000 or so. Very hot during the day, as expected. The pre-show ceremonies in remembrance of 9/11 were very moving and classy.

The media pit was UN-monitored, and thus had lots of obvious non media people filing in, as the Blues got ready to taxi out. Quite frustrating, as there were kids running around, and my gear / drinks got stepped on several times.....GRRRRRRRR. But a great time otherwise.

Eric and I had a good laugh at the end of the day. As I was waiting in line for the shuttle bus, they walked back to the parking lot, and not only did they beat me back to their vehicle, where they dropped us off in the lot, I still had another couple of hundred yards' walk to my truck..........
