The Rotary Club of Ione will sponsor its second Show & Shine car and vintage aircraft show on Saturday, May 30, 2015. The location is the Eagle's Nest Airport located in Ione, CA off Michigan Bar Road. This venue is a private airport ideally configured for this event. The show expects cars from throughout California and Nevada, and will feature vehicles in all categories from street rods to stock pre-1960, modified, foreign cars and more. Some trucks will also be on display.

Last year, over 600 cars were on display and an estimated 3,000 people were in attendance. In addition to the car show, vintage WWII aircraft will be on display for the public to view. An expanded air show is also planned. Arrangements are being made for registered show vehicles to have the opportunity for a professional photo to be taken alongside one of the vintage aircraft. Many improvements have been made to accommodate both the car show and public attendees. A new show T-shirt will be for sale on-site, and can also be pre-purchased by car owner at time of registration.

Food, beverage, auto accessory, and gift vendors will be on site to accommodate all attendees. A pancake breakfast will be served by the local Boy Scout Troop 477 from 7:00 to 10:30 AM. All proceeds from this breakfast will be donated to the Troop. Other food vendors, including food trucks will include a variety of tasty faire. The event is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

All proceeds will go to local youth organizations the Interfaith Food Bank and other non-profit organizations. The food bank currently serves 6000 individuals and 2400 families. They experience lower donations during the mid-year months and this event will help to ease that burden.

General admission for the public will be $10.00 per car. Pre-registration for display vehicles is $26.75, day of registration $35. To register a car or for general information log on to www.ioneshowandshine.org.
