Lindberg there is the Old Naval Training Ctr off of Rosecraz you could shot departures from mostly the bottow if heading north.  Arrival not sure except from behind the aviation museum at Balboa Park as the head in.

John Wayne, never been there but a buddy says there is a business park on the weekend to shot from but you have to stand on something.  Is on the north side next to 405.  You can see parking lot on right side heading south on 405.  Sorry no specifics.
