Doug,
how did you deal with all the new fencing at Brown Field?? I teach down by there and in between classes or at lunch I used to go by the terminal and shoot over the low fence.

Very nice surprise.  Kind a like when they stage out of Long Beach.   Miramar is closed late Friday and opens late Sunday I think so if they need to do trainning they have to go to other fields.

Damon Thanks for that answer, I did not know that Miramar was quiet most weekends.

Thanks!

WOW, that is really awesome...I wonder why they staged out of there, and not NAS North Island or Miramar...

On a pure whim, I stopped by Brown Field on Sunday, March 25, 2012. I walked around the Terminal area and was about to leave when two Marine pilots walked by in flight suits. I asked them what was going on and they told me they were doing some weekend exercises at the field. It included 4 F-5's from the Snipers, 4 F/A-18's from the Sharpshooters and the Black Knights each. I then got access with two other photographers to the Flightline, and here's a few shots from the morning's shoot.
