I was listening to BUR ATC and there were flights arriving and departing at the time. Flightaware shows that they had the orbits or at least the break towards the coast planned before they even left OAK.  Check out the light blue dotted line.

It doesn't necessarily mean there was something wrong with the plane itself, it may have been a problem at the airport, causing 633 to have to hold out before heading in.
