Living History Flying Day Event - WWI Aviation

August 7, 2010



WHO: Steve Anderson - Artist Fellow, American Society of Aviation Artists.  He will also be displaying his art specializing in WWI combat aviation.  Jack Herris - WWI Aviation Historian and consultant to USAF Academy. Author of WWI aircraft books. New release Aircraft of WWI: 1914-1918.  J.R. Williams - Vice President and Director of the League of WWI Aviation Historians, including their member's magazine Over The Front.

WHAT: Open to the public.  A distinguished panel of WWI aviation experts followed by a Q & A period and book signing. On display, French Ace Charles Nungesser's originally owned Hanriot HD-1 Scout and German frikker DR-1 Triplane.  The Great War Historical Society reenacters will be here! Members entered into raffle for L-19 Birddog flight after program.

WHEN: Saturday, August 7, 2010; 10:00 am – 12:00 pm; The Red Baron movie screenings from 1-3pm in the Museum Theater.
