I haven't had any problems at Miramar. I usually park off base and walk in, and go to the easternmost gate. Seems to be less people trying to come in that way.

F-35 AA-1 has arrived at Edwards AFB.

She has completed flying at Fort Worth and is now at Edwards AFB for arrestor-hook testing before heading to China Lake to end her career in live-fire testing. Its 2.8h flight to Edwards on Spe. 10 was the first F-35's 90th flight - making up the majority of JSF flying to date.

The 2009 Edwards Air Show may still hold a treat in store yet!

As usual this should be a fun show, except for the long bus lines when you exit (even if you hang out for a while after the show ends)!

I'll be there, too. Really no excuse for me not to go, it's in my backyard pretty much. And yes this IS a backlit show, sorry.

I'm planning on being there just to see F-35 AA-1 before the upcoming live fire testing at China Lake.

I have a travel assignment the weekend before and was terrified I mixed up the weekends. Short of LA burning down, am planning to be there, but going to leave at like 5am.
