Spaghetti and fireworks

On Sunday, Dec. 14, the Manhattan Beach firefighters will be serving a spaghetti dinner for $5 a plate, all you can eat, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Fire Station No. 1, 400 15th St. Proceeds will go to the Officer Mark Vasquez fund.

Manhattan Beach's traditional holiday fireworks show off the pier is also Dec. 14, at 6:30 p.m. Children's activities begin at 4 p.m. with a snow park, snow play areas, a bouncy and a holiday sing-along from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Admission to the snow and bounce park is free; however, a canned food, new unwrapped toy or cash donations to the Y-Adventure Guides Toy and Canned Food Drive are suggested.

The event is scheduled to take place rain or shine.

We went down there in the afternoon not knowing they were having that.   Looked like a fun evet but left around 4pm.  They block the street and thats where people site to see the fireworks.
