Wasn't sure exactly what sub forum to put this one, since it won't all be aircraft... I've been wanting to catch up, since I haven't posted all fire season. Here's the wrap up report on fire season 2012.

"Wrap up" isn't the proper term yet, especially since we just started October -- infamously known to be the absolute HEIGHT of fire season in Southern California. Things could end, or they could ramp up 10 fold. But hey, we can always add more if that happens!

I'm going to put up my favorites from this entire season so far. Several small to medium sized fires, ranging from 5 acres to 6,000. Still haven't had a "big" one yet. Of course this thread isn't intended to all just be my shots, so please, post yours up!

Yesterday, Sept 30th. The "Range Fire" south of Banning off Highway 243. Believed to be caused by illegal shooting.

RRU - Taffle Fire. August 9th. Red Mountain area of Sage. One structure fully involved after the fire was started by an illegal burn next door. Elderly female died in the house. :(

Same day, left the Taffle Fire headed straight for the MVU - Chihuahua Fire east of Palomar Mountain. Lightning caused. Ended up being a part of a lightning complex consisting of 5 seperate fires.

Nice pictures!  Thanks for sharing.

With the current tanker situation, I think we're lucky we havent had a "big" one this year.
