That was very cool to watch. I got to meet a Tuskegee Airmen Bill Holloman at Planes of Frame in 2010.  He passed away shortly after the airshow. They did so much for this country.

Awesome.  Shed some more light on this subject as we are losing WWII veterans everyday.

I'll go see the movie, but the flying 'scenes' look like they are 100% CGI, straight from a LucasArts game.  The ground scenes will be more interesting for me.

took the words right out of my mouth, judging from the trailer the CGI looks a little bit over done, a-la-Pearl Harbor.

I'm still going go see it.

kick Z tail out

It does look like it's completely CGI, but at least it's good CGI. My biggest ugh moment from the trailer is when the P-51 climbs over the top and shoots the ME-262. Looks like it has a 50 foot turn radius.

I think it looks like it's going to be a kickass movie and I'll definitely see it. Great casting too.

At today's USC vs Washington game, the Tuskegee Airmen were honored and the new movie pitched.
Lucas was down on the field with about 4 or 5 Tuskegee Airman, and three or four actors from the movie as movie clips played on the scoreboard.

The pre-game flyover was a lone P-51, not one I recognized.  It was a later model  in possibly in a British scheme with a light blue tail vertical or rudder.

If it was a desert camo then it was David Price's Cottonmouth.  Australian.

Can't really tell what the scheme was from this, but it sounds great.  :)
