50th Event coming up!

LAX 50th Anniversary Event

A "Sunday Morning Coffee" for plane spotters, aviation enthusiasts and the general public is scheduled Sunday, June 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on the Observation Deck atop the iconic Theme Building at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).  This is timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of LAX's iconic Theme Building and Jet-Age Airport.

A specially-made commemorative coin will be given to the first 400 attendees.  There will be no additional coins ordered after the initial supply is exhausted.  You must be present to receive a commemorative coin.

Plane spotters, aviation enthusiasts and the general public visiting the Observation Deck that day can participate in a free raffle to win a die-cast scale model of the new Singapore Airlines A380 jet that will be serving LAX beginning July 1.  Participants in the raffle of the model aircraft must be present to win.  Winners must be 18 years old and have government-issued photo identification (i.e., driver's license, passport, etc.).

Sunday morning's schedule of highlighted flights:
    Qantas A380:  ETA 9:45 a.m. (evening departure)
Air New Zealand B777-300:  ETA 10 a.m. (evening departure)
    Plus many other aircraft
