Sweet!!! Kevin, that 500 is very impresive... GREAT shots!  

I wholeheartedly agree...that lens handles low light very well!  I didn't stand that much of a chance after going any higher than 400 ISO.  You let me borrow that lens for a week, you got yourself a best friend for life.

Nah, I really wanted to but after we all parted from the bridge, I was pretty darn spent!  I'll head over again on Wednesday morning because I am dying to get the A380 arriving at the north complex so I can catch it from the bridge.  They're coming in from the southwest, so when they reach the California coast, they follow the east-bound traffic pattern so they usually land on 25R.  Some say they have seen it land on the north side, but I haven't been too lucky...not yet, at least.

Right on man!  Just FYI, I'm only staying till about 11:30, because I have to head to work at noon.  Yes, I'm that addicted!  But if you'd like to meet, I'm going to be out there pretty early and probably grab a good breakfast at Denny's or IHOP.

If not, no sweat.  I just got clearance from work to have Saturday off, so SMO is cleared for departure

What time are you going to LAX?

On Wednesday, I plan on being at LAX at around 7-7:30ish.  The first A380 from Melbourne comes in around that time, followed by one from Sydney which usually lands within the next hour or so.  
I'll be pullin' an early bird on that one
