For Love of Life and Country, One Man's Account of Heroism with Humor - Dean Hunter

January 15th – 11:00 AM

Since the dawn of military combat, there has been an axiom that says, "There's the right way, the wrong way, and the military way."  This month's featured speaker has experienced all three, during his long career, in and out of combat.  Colonel Dean Hunter, USAF knows, at first hand, that the best plans, the most thorough preparations, and the highest intentions may all go by the board when operational necessity arises.  He also knows that there is no alternative to accomplishing the mission.  No rule, no deprivation, no barrier is an acceptable excuse for failure to carry out the assignment.  Success, on the other hand, makes it a lot easier to explain certain deviations from the normal way of doing things.  You do what it takes, and having succeeded, probably won't have to explain yourself to anybody - not to anybody who matters.  And, oh yes, it helps if you keep your sense of humor.  Colonel Hunter has had a long career of doing things that might be considered unconventional ... and, he's had a long career full of successes.  Join us, while he explains it all.
