While I assume the greeting was automated, thanks for welcome message nonetheless.  I don't think I've ever received a thread dedicated to me when I've joined a message board before.

A little background.  I've just started getting into plane spotting. I've been the miramar and edwards airshows.  I learned the importance of leaving to airshows early as it took 5 hours to go 5 miles at Edwards.

I've just started taking pics of jets at Imperial Hill and In-N-out near LAX.  I've also taken some at LV.  IMHO, I think my photography skills are pretty horrible.  But part of the reason for joining is getting tips on reducing camera shake, better exposure, etc.

Anyway, thanks again for the welcome.

Thanks guys.

Damon - how do I upload shots? Do I need to put stuff on flickr or other similar website first?

Fernando - I'll get in touch if I'm over @ SMO.

Ryan, welcome aboard!  Glad that you joined, we have a pretty diverse group of photographers, old and new, highly experienced to beginners.  I, as well as some of the other members frequent LAX quite often, and although I won't be there as much because school has started, look forward to meeting you.

No you don't need too.  When you post a reply, you will see an attach area just below this text box.  As long as its under I think 200KB then you can attach up to 10 files.  1024x??? is a good size that fits in most computer screens.  Or of you have a flickr, or photobucket acct they have links for the photos but those are not requires.

We are also on facebook too!

And if your into Wings to eat, ask Duy.  He's the expert as of late.....

Going to Wing Stop 3 times in 5 days doesn't make me an expert.  Just another place to graze when I'm starving like it's going out of fashion. :D
