Has anyone ever been to this show? Looks like it could be fun. If you have, would love to hear from you.

Great show all around, even if they pulled the F-22 demo 3 weeks prior to the show.  The thing i liked was that there was NO downtime at all, with the exception of the TBirds ground show.  Me and a couple of Apsocal guys drove up Friday last year, saw the demo from outside the fence.  Then stayed at the Fitzgerald on Fremont street for $31 bucks. Then was on the 2nd bus in for the show, and got home to San Diego by 10:30.  I'm trying to do the same thing this year.

Where would be the best place to photograph this event at? Any particular place on the flight line that is the best?

For best lighting, go all the way to the northwest-ish part of the crowd line.

Here is an interesting email I just received from the PAO at Nellis:

If you are receiving this email, you have been approved for media credentials at the Nellis Air Force Base Open House Nov. 13-14. The Nellis Public Affairs office will be sending our more information as it becomes available but for now please continue to check the Nellis Aviation Nation webpage for updates on schedules and participants. Thank you and we will see you in November.

The lineup so far looks kinda of weak. Hope more performers are going to be added.

I went here 3 times last year and it was great. It's open 24 hours so we will not get kicked out. Also lots of no hassle parking 8)

Sounds cool... I got sick after the buffet at the Cannery last year.  :-X

So what time is the best time to get there? What part of the field should I try and sit at?

Thanks,
